Bedford’s diverse portfolio of Australian Disability Enterprises employs some 1100 people with disability in catering/ hospitality, packaging services, horticulture and grounds maintenance, furniture, timber processing, cleaning, laundry processing and administration.

The contribution we make to the ADE community

In South Australia, Bedford provides employment in numerous ADE’s across seven metropolitan locations including Lonsdale, Panorama and Pooraka and in another six regional sites, including Kadina, Port Pirie, Millicent, Mount Gambier and Port Lincoln. Bedford provides meaningful, stimulating employment opportunities in:

• varying product packaging for prominent, global brands as well as iconic local companies
• production of ready to assemble furniture sold through leading hardware stores
• diverse catering and hospitality services in a number of cafes and kitchens
• horticulture and ground maintenance services across multiple sites, from seven base locations

How supported employees and their families benefit from our organisation

Bedford’s broad service offering enables us to address the diverse and evolving needs of people with disability. In addition to employment, as a Registered Training Organisation we offer vocational and life skills training in a variety of locations; complementing our employment opportunities and allowing for individually tailored support and service. Bedford also provides Day Options services to people with higher support needs and supported accommodation services to nearly 100 people with disability across South Australia. This multi faceted approach allows us to offer a unique service; focussing on pathways to rewarding employment and greater independence.
