Bedford has provided meaningful employment for people with disability for over 70 years. In 2012, Bedford commenced a NSW operation, providing stimulating work in a modern facility in Silverwater, NSW.

The contribution we make to the ADE community

Officially opened in January 2013, the Bedford Silverwater site employs 30 people with disability to meet the demands of Bedford’s national packaging department. In Silverwater, the team undertakes Packaging and Assembly work for various companies, including some of the largest and best known in Australia. Employees receive vocational training and support to reach their potential, while working in a positive, modern environment. Bedford promotes personal development with hands-on, tailored support and celebrates achievement at our annual Achievement Awards and similar events. Our multi-faceted approach allows us to offer a unique service; focusing on pathways to rewarding employment and greater independence.

How supported employees and their families benefit from our organisation

Employees are encouraged to make friends and develop goals, having individual employment and training plans which are regularly reviewed to make sure personal and vocational targets are met.
