What we offer for supported employees
Employees work on general contracts (collating, packaging, book covering), manufacture of timber products for builders and surveyors, document scanning and secure destruction. We also provide grounds maintenance, gardening and landscaping services.
The contribution we make to the ADE community
DARE Industries benefits the community by providing much needed employment opportunities and individualised training programs for local people with disabilities. The products made by our employees and the garden services they provide are widely used and sought after, thereby satisfying these particular needs for businesses and local residents. Our services and training programs promote increased self-confidence and independence for our clients through gaining new life skills and social abilities. These skills assist clients to participate in the social and economic life of their community, thus making a positive contribution to the region and benefitting the population as a whole.
How supported employees and their families benefit from our organisation
Our Business Services and supported employment programs provide training, support and meaningful employment for more than 60 local people with a disability. Our clients gain a sense of confidence and higher self esteem by contributing to the economy and life of their community. We undertake a wide range of training programs, including healthy living and nutrition, safe travel, work skills, TAFE certificates and apprenticeships. Attainment of qualifications and practical skills is a primary focus of our services. In addition to the economic benefits of employment, our employees enjoy and value developing friendships and social contacts through their workplace.
