What we offer for supported employees
We operate a recycling plant in the Town of Young that provides services to four local Government areas. We also many the gate on two sites including operating a weigh bridge.
The contribution we make to the ADE community
Our employees with a disability undertake paid employment on a productivity and competency based wage. They learn skills such as what materials can be recycled, how to use the pressing equipment. Some learn forklift operations gaining their licence and dealing with the public. More importantly they learn work ethics and how to be a great team member. Many are members of local clubs and join in community activities as valued members of the local community. Employees at our ADE's can also join our travel program and be assisted to save for fully supported holidays.
How supported employees and their families benefit from our organisation
As an employee of Elouera Recycling, individuals can work part time or full time, this allows in many cases other family members to return to the workforce. The most common comment we hear from families is how much more confident their family member has become and how they love going to work. Employment is important to everyone, its about more than just wages, its about belonging, being part of a team, gaining skills and contributing economically to ones family.
