Koomarri provides people with disability access to employment opportunities in both supported and open employment settings. Employment opportunities can boost confidence, self-esteem and a sense of purpose. For someone with an intellectual disability who may face limited employment and social options, supported employment is all the more valuable. At Koomarri we offer full time and part time employment, training, and personal development at locations throughout the ACT and Southern NSW (Queanbeyan). Our experienced staff support each person employed by Koomarri to realise their employment and training goals throughout their working life. Koomarri’s employment and business initiatives are commercial operations that provide supported employment for people with disability. The income derived from these businesses goes back into supporting the expansion of employment and business opportunities for people with disability to be gainfully employed.

Koomarri supports people to achieve their life goals, dreams and aspirations. Koomarri is a respected not-for-profit organisation with more than 60 years of operation in the ACT and NSW. At Koomarri, we support people who experience disability to lead meaningful and productive lives. Koomarri’s business, community and residential services support more than 300 people and their families across Canberra and southern NSW. Koomarri advocates for and empowers people to achieve their dreams, goals and aspirations with a whole of life approach in collaboration with support networks. We are experts in the field and we are committed to continuous learning and review of our services to ensure we provide the best possible supports to people with disability in our community.
