The contribution we make to the ADE community

For 52 years, Wangarang has operated in Orange and district, currently providing a variety of diverse jobs to 125 people with disabilities. These 125 wonderful people come to work because they want to, not because they have to. The employees provide valuable cost effective service to the business community and positively contribute to the local economy in a truly inclusive environment. Wangarang provides a safety net for people with disabilities who may not be able to fulfil a role in open employment by providing a real employment outcome for people doing real jobs. Without jobs being provided by our ADE and many others like it, these individual may not be leading as fulfilling lives that they are currently.

How supported employees and their families benefit from our organisation

Without jobs being provided by our ADE and many others like it, these individual may not be leading as fulfilling lives that they are currently. Apart from the known benefits to a person’s wellbeing associated with holding down a job, our ADE provides an opportunity for individuals to form long lasting friendships with, not only their co-workers, but people who they meet whilst undertaking their day to day duties, both on site and in the community. Families can see the individual growth that can be achieved and are proud that their son or daughter is contributing to the local community through real work in real jobs.
